I Kind Of Get It

You asked for it, you got it: a short course on all the basics for Digital SLR owners. Geared towards beginning photographers. Topics include ISO, shutter speeds and aperture settings, fill flash, composition techniques, lens selection, and more. These principles will help you gain better control of your photography and creative vision. Bring your camera and instruction manual.

Lighting for One, please

This is a one day workshop for individuals who want to learn simple lighting techniques for portraiture. This class will primarily focus on using natural light. We will discuss lighting patterns for different effects, and use simple light modifiers. Assumes basic knowledge of camera function. Bring your own camera. Digital camera recommended, but film ok too.

How Does This Thing Work!?

Did you get a new point'n'shoot digital camera and you need some help understanding how the darn thing works? In this class, we will go over how, when, and why to choose, use, and control your camera's functions. We will also go over some basic concepts for composing your shot, and simple things you can do to make the lighting in your photos look better. You'll be ready to shoot in no time!
